Here is your rehearsal schedule for the months of February & March.
You guys should pretty much know by now if you are in Group A, B or C, 'cause I don't!
If there are any changes to the schedule, you will be notified, but for now...here it is.
So, I thought it might be helpful to better understand the 80's (since none of you were alive!), as well as the music you are singing, if you watched the original videos for these songs.
They are nothing like the videos you watch today, considering the technological advances that have been made since the debut of MTV on August 1, 1981.
Think about the impact that music videos had on pop culture.
Up until then, you bought the tapes or LP's(records)of your favorite artist or song, or sat by the radio waiting for the song to be played so that you could hold a tape recorder next to the radio and push RECORD when your song came on.-that was our version of downloading mp3's.-and the quality was awful...you just prayed your sibling didn't come running in the room or that your mother didn't scream your name and ruin your recording, or it would be back to the waiting game.
So, in homage to my own childhood, I thought it only appropriate for the first 80's video that you watch, be the first video that I, along with the rest of America watched on August 1, 1981 -
